September 16, 2020The signing of the Abrahamic Agreement between Israel, the Emirates and Bahrain, the "Pax Americana" for the Middle East, has unleashed the anger of the Palestinian world.

"There will be no peace in the Middle East as long as the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories lasts," said President Abu Mazen.

"It is a dark day", repeats Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh.

"Treason" shouted the crowd that took to the streets in Ramallah.

And from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, two rockets were fired on southern Israel, sounding sirens in the cities of Asheklon and Ashdod causing tens of thousands of residents to rush to air raid shelters.

Only two were injured, according to local media, but the fear is great.

The armed forces of the Jewish state let it be known that one of the two rockets was intercepted by the Israeli missile shield, only the second landed on Ashdod, located between the Gaza Strip and Tel Aviv.

The launch of the rockets was followed by an Israeli air strike on the Strip, which hit a Hamas training center.

Practically at the same time as the Washington ceremony, there were demonstrations in several Palestinian cities to demonstrate the rejection of the "normalization" of relations between the Emirates, Bahrain and Israel, although according to the reporters on the spot none of them would have gathered more than a few hundred of people.

Saudi Arabia has declared itself on the side of the Palestinian people and reaffirms the Palestinians' right to their own independent state under the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
