His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, approved a decision to establish the National Center for Regulating Organ and Transplantation and Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues within the structure of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, with the aim of organizing and coordinating the conduct of transplantation, transplantation, and preservation of human organs and tissues and developing them at the level of Country.

The decision aims to strengthen medical and social care for organ donation and transplantation in accordance with international quality standards and ethics of medical practice, while the establishment of the center represents an effective step to support one of the areas of modern medicine and unify national efforts in the field of human organ and tissue transplantation.

The center will set up prevention and treatment programs for organic insufficiency, register the cases concerned with it, work to develop procedures and controls regulating the transfer and transplantation of human organs and tissues, save, distribute, assign them, update them according to medical developments, and coordinate with health authorities to train and develop the qualifications of health professions practitioners in this regard.
