On Wednesday evening, the police received an alarm that a woman in her 80s had been injured by some kind of unidentifiable liquid on Nordanby fence in Västerås.
- When the woman opened a mailbox, she must have had the liquid on her, says Tobias Ahlén at the police command center.
The woman was awake and talkative and was taken to hospital.
Several police patrols were alerted to the scene.
- When they were there, a group of remorseful young people came forward and told them that they had placed an object in the mailbox.
A bottle, says Tobias Ahlén.
The police do not currently know what kind of liquid it is and will prepare reports of vandalism and causing bodily harm. The alarm came shortly after 6 pm on Wednesday.
