Emirati and Arab activists interacted with the tweets of the Emirati preacher of Jordanian origin, Wasim Yusef, who attacked the Arab countries and defended the decisions of the Emirati and Bahraini normalization with Israel.
Youssef said in a series of tweets to him on his official Twitter account, "I will tell you a story of those who bid for the peace treaty between Bahrain and the UAE with Israel. Israel did not destroy Syria, Libya was not burned, the people of Egypt were not dispersed, Libya was not destroyed, and Lebanon was not torn into sects."
He added, "Before blaming Israel, look at yourself in the mirror, O Arabs, because the problem is in you."

Arab activists commented on Youssef's tweet, accusing the UAE of destroying the countries that Wasim Yusef talks about, stressing that the tools of destruction and devastation are known, and that Israel is a usurper state of the Palestinian lands, and that there is no justification for this agreement.

On Tuesday, the UAE and Bahrain signed agreements for full normalization with Israel, in the presence of US President Donald Trump at the White House, and Trump also said after the signing that he expects Saudi Arabia to recognize Israel "in an appropriate time."
