The government said that in the case of the death of a male student suffering from sexual violence in a dormitory in a middle school, the principal was suspended for three months and the vice principal was punished for one month.



Vice Minister of Education Park Baek-beom said in an answer to the Blue House national petition today (15th), saying, "The school did not actively respond to the segregation of victims requested by the victims."



He said, "We decided to transfer the school for one of the perpetrators, and for the remaining three, we decided to take action as soon as the results of the police investigation came out."



The petition was posted on the public petition bulletin board in July by the parents of the victim and received 250,000 consents in a month.



Petitioner said that after his son attended the dormitory of an alternative school in Jeonnam in June, he was sexually assaulted by four classmates for two weeks and even threatened to'don't inform parents and schools.'



The victim was diagnosed with stress-related acute pancreatitis after visiting the hospital on June 30 due to chest pain and breathing anxiety, and died while being hospitalized for 3 days.



The petitioner petitioned for punishment of the person in charge, saying,'A high-level agency, etc., responded poorly to the incident of sexual violence against his son and eventually sent his son to heaven.'



Vice Minister Park said that the Jeonnam Office of Education recommends that all middle and high schools that operate dormitories install corridor CCTVs and safety bells from this month, and will implement recurrence prevention measures, which are mandatory to conduct a survey on the living safety area of ​​dormitories twice a year starting next year. It.
