  • Agreement: Bahrain and Israel announce the establishment of diplomatic relations

The White House has been the scene of the

largest peace agreement in the Middle East in 42 years

: the signing of the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries of the Persian Gulf - the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain - and Israel.

On the one hand, the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.

On the other, the Foreign Ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan, and Bahrain, Lieutenant General Abdulatif bin Rashid al Zayani.

Along with them,

the President of the United States, Donald Trump, as host and mediator.

And, in a discreet background, his son-in-law and White House adviser, Jared Kushner, to whom many attribute much of the credit for an agreement that changes the geopolitics of the world's most explosive region.

Israel definitively breaks its isolation

, and Iran, the great enemy of the Jewish state, the Emirates and Saudi Arabia - the country that 'de facto' controls Bahrain - is more isolated than ever in the region.

Since on September 17, 1978, Egyptian President Anuar el Sadat and Hebrew Prime Minister Menachem Begin signed the Camp David agreement, very close to Washington, by virtue of which Egypt became the first Arab country to recognize Israel and it was leaving the Sinai Peninsula, there had been no advance in the direction of peace in such a large region.
