15 September 2020The German Lennard Kamna alone wins the 16th stage of the Tour de France, the first of the terrible alpine triptych of the last week, from La Tour du Pin to Villard de Lans, 164km with 5GpM.
Kamna precedes the Ecuadorian Carapaz by 1'27 ”and the Swiss Reichenbach by 1'56”.
The yellow jersey group lets it go and reaches the finish line almost 17 'late.
The Slovenian Roglic controls and maintains the leadership with 40 ”over his compatriot Pogacar.
The roughness foments the initiatives. Eighteen break away from the platoon which then become twenty-three.
