The State Attorney's Office has filed the appeal against the ordinance of the Sardinia Region, in force since yesterday, which provides for mandatory tests for incoming passengers who have not presented for boarding with a certificate of negativity to Covid-19 .

The Ansa learns from sources of the Democratic Party.

Failure to comply with Article 16 on the free movement of persons is the fundamental reason for the appeal filed with the Sardinian TAR.

Meanwhile, the fear Covid has led over half of the 500 registered in the GiroSardegna, a cycling race in stages reserved for amateurs, to give notice after the resurgence of the pandemic.

The 24th edition of the sporting event, at the moment, has however been confirmed by the organizers and will start in less than a month, after the previous postponement from last spring and the new scheduling in autumn, from 11 to 16 October.

The GiroSardegna will be based in Alghero and will also touch the province of Oristano.

The regional ordinance that obliges those arriving in Sardinia to undergo a rapid serological, molecular or antigenic test has given way to the forfeits.

In a statement, the organization explained the terms of the ordinance signed by President Solinas and pointed out that this will be valid until 7 October, therefore four days before the start of the GiroSardegna.

The GiroSardegna is not the only sporting event scheduled in Alghero in the first half of next month.

In fact, from 8 to 11 October there will be the Rally Italia Sardegna.
