China News Service, September 15th. According to the South American Overseas Chinese News Network, the Chilean Electoral Commission (Servel) recently promulgated the sanitation and epidemic prevention regulations for the October referendum.

According to the report, the Chilean Electoral Commission requires voters to wear masks on the day of the October 25 referendum, and it is best to wear medical surgical masks, and to bring their own 70% disinfectant alcohol and blue ballpoint pens.

Polling staff are also required not to touch voter ID cards at will.

If necessary, after checking the voter's ID card, the staff must use medical alcohol to disinfect it.

In addition, voters put their ID cards at the voting table and return them to a place 1 meter away, waiting for the staff to check the information.

In order to facilitate identity verification, voters need to take off their masks, but this action must be performed at a distance of at least 2 meters from the staff, and the time to remove the masks should not exceed 3 seconds.

Once voting is completed, voters will have to leave the polling station immediately through the designated exit.

When queuing to vote, avoid greeting or talking to others.

Anyone who needs to make a statement, accept an interview, or hold a press conference must do it outside the polling station.

In addition, the Chilean Electoral Commission also recommends that relevant staff should disinfect public facilities such as tables and chairs in the polling station every 2 hours.
