Apple on Tuesday introduced new Apple Watch and iPad models as well as a new subscription, titled Apple One, but did not make any announcements about its highly anticipated next iPhone, which could be compatible with the 5G.

At an entirely online event, organized from its headquarters in Cupertino, California, the apple brand first presented the Apple Watch Series 6, the latest addition to the galaxy of its connected watches.

The main innovation is a tool that calculates the level of oxygen in the blood in a few seconds, an effective measure of respiratory functions according to Apple.

The Apple Watch Series 6, available for pre-order on Tuesday and in stores Friday, starts at $ 399.

An entry-level version, the Apple Watch SE, is available from $ 279.

Users will be able to synchronize their watch with the new fitness application, Fitness +, which offers online workouts to follow on an iPhone, iPad or Apple TV.

This application could compete with the services of the specialist in exercise bikes Peloton or sports equipment manufacturer Nike.

Another novelty is Apple One, a subscription to Apple's streaming, music and video game platforms as well as to its cloud service (remote computing).

The basic service will launch this fall starting at $ 14.95 per month in around 100 countries, alongside a family plan ($ 19.95 per month).

A premium package ($ 29.95 per month), which will include Fitness + and Apple News +, the brand's news platform, will be launched in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.

“With Apple One, you can access the best of Apple entertainment across all of your favorite devices and with just one subscription,” said Eddy Cue, head of corporate IT services and software.

Apple also announced new versions of the entry-level model of its iPad (from $ 329) and its iPad Air (from $ 599).

The Californian giant's iOS mobile operating system will be getting an update on Wednesday.

However, no announcement has been made on a new iPhone while the launch of an Apple smartphone compatible with 5G technology is particularly expected by the market and customers.

Several specialists believe that the next iPhone should be presented at a full-fledged event, possibly next month.

Production delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic have been cited in particular to justify this delay.
