Angry Palestinian reactions followed the signing of the Emirati-Bahraini normalization agreement with Israel in Washington today, Tuesday, and angry demonstrations also took place in the West Bank and Gaza Strip to denounce normalization.

The Palestinian presidency said in a statement that the signing of agreements between the UAE and Bahrain with the Israeli occupation will not achieve peace in the region, considering that stability will not be achieved in the region without ending the occupation and obtaining the rights of the Palestinian people.

She added, "We have not and will not mandate anyone to speak on behalf of the Palestinian people and on behalf of the PLO."

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, during a phone call he received from the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, expressed his support and blessing for the efforts that affirm the unity of the Palestinian position in the face of plots against the Palestinian cause.

For his part, Haniyeh assured President Abbas that Fatah, Hamas and all Palestinian factions are in one trench, and they will not allow the Palestinian issue to be a bridge for recognition and normalization with the occupying power at the expense of national rights, Jerusalem and the right of return.

Haniyeh also stressed that the meeting of secretaries-general would not have taken place had it not been for the supportive position on Abbas, pointing to the importance of this position.

Hamas leader Sami Abu Zuhri considered that the rulers of the Emirates and Bahrain have betrayed Jerusalem and Palestine, and that the agreement will not succeed in achieving any peace for the Israeli occupation in the region, stressing that the peoples will continue to deal with the occupation as their true enemy.

Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said in a statement that "the Palestinian people will deal with these agreements as if they did not exist, through their insistence on fighting until the restoration of their full rights."

In a statement, the Islamic Jihad movement believed that what happened was not an agreement for normalization, but rather the announcement of the transition from normalization to establishing an alliance that enshrines the reality of hegemony over the region, as it considered it a threat to the identity and future of the region.

For its part, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine considered in a press statement that the declaration was a "black day", and that the agreement was not implemented overnight, rather it was prepared, prepared and planned over the years.

A member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization and Secretary-General of the Palestine Liberation Front, Abu Youssef continued, this is a "black day in the history of the official Arab system, and a sad day for the Palestinian people and the Palestinian cause."

"It is another treacherous stab in the back of the Palestinian people's struggle," he said, considering that the signing of the normalization agreement "comes in light of the so-called American deal of the century aimed at liquidating the Palestinian issue."

For his part, Secretary of the Revolutionary Council of the Fatah Movement Majid Al-Fityani said that this signature comes a day before the anniversary of the Sabra and Shatila massacre, considering that the signature is "a disgrace to the rulers of the Emirates and Bahrain."

He added, "Bahrain and the UAE do not represent anything to the Palestinians and do not speak in their name. We have our sole and legitimate representative, the Palestine Liberation Organization."

Demonstrations

at the popular level, demonstrations took place in the cities of Ramallah, Hebron and Nablus in the West Bank to protest the signing of the normalization agreements, in which dozens of Palestinian leaders participated, especially in the Fatah and Hamas movements.

The participants stressed that what happened in Washington was a conspiracy against the Palestinian cause and the implementation of the Israeli annexation plan and the American solutions.

Hundreds of Palestinian faction leaders and citizens gathered in front of the United Nations headquarters in Gaza to denounce normalization, and they raised banners describing normalization as a betrayal of the Palestinian cause and the Arab and Islamic nation.

Protesters burned coffins with the flags of the UAE and Bahrain and pictures of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US President Donald Trump, Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The "Unified National Popular Resistance Command", which includes members of the Palestine Liberation Organization and Hamas, had called for Tuesday to be a day of "popular and uprising rejection."
