Another emergency took place as Hurricane Sally, accompanied by heavy rains of up to 600 mm, approached the southern coast of the United States.

The US National Hurricane Center predicted that Hurricane Sally would land in southeast Louisiana on the 15th local time and head north toward Mississippi, according to the Associated Press.

The Hurricane Center has warned that Sally will throw up to 600 millimeters of heavy rain on the southern coast with strong winds of 145 kilometers per hour.

Weather experts say Sally's slow movement inland for two to three days will result in heavy rains falling across the Mississippi Delta. Flood damage from storm surges and river flooding is expected.

The southern United States suffered heavy damage on the 27th of last month as Hurricane Laura, a maximum speed of 241 km/h, penetrated.
