Al-Matroushi, a member of the core working group of the Hope Probe, indicated that the probe will be concerned with providing daily information about Mars through understanding the relationship and interactions between the layers of the atmosphere, and how what happens in the lower layers of the atmosphere on Mars affects the upper layers. He will be interested in discovering the causes of the erosion of the Red Planet's atmosphere, which has resulted in the lack of a suitable environment for life on the planet.

Exploration Camera

The official website of the Emirates Mars Exploration Project stated that the "Emirati Exploration Camera" accompanying the Hope Probe on its journey to Mars is a multi-wavelength radiation camera, capable of capturing visual images of Mars at 12 megapixels.

He explained that the camera will take high-resolution color digital images of the red planet during sandstorms, study the lower layer of the Martian atmosphere through the visible spectrum and ultraviolet wavelengths, measure the percentage of water ice in the lower layer of the atmosphere, and measure the amount of ozone.
