On October 19, 2004, Anna-Lena Svensson was then 56 years old on her way to her classroom, where she worked as a teacher of Swedish.

"She was born a language teacher," says her husband in the courtroom in Linköping District Court during the initial day of the trial regarding the double murder in Linköping.

The husband tells in the courtroom that just this morning he experienced that Anna-Lena was a little late for her job.

They had talked and planned an engagement dinner for his newly engaged daughter next Saturday.

He described Anna-Lena as very happy just that fateful morning in October.

"She was happy as a lark," he says.

"No known threat image"

Prosecutor Britt-Louise Viklund asks her husband if there was any known threat against her husband, who in recent years has worked as a language teacher for immigrants.

"During that period, had she received any threats or any unpleasantness ?, based on the fact that it was precisely immigrants she was a teacher for," the prosecutor asks?

"Never, just love," the husband replies.

"There is immigrant hatred among some people, but there was nothing she had noticed, the prosecutor continues"

"No, not at that time," the husband replies.
