Between Jianguomen and Fuxingmen, 7000 square meters of flowers will be planted and 100 sets of container flowers will be arranged to create a warm, festive and joyful holiday atmosphere.
According to reports, this year's flower arrangement will be constructed in the early morning of September 16, and is expected to be completed and unveiled around September 25 to celebrate the festive season with the citizens.

"Blessing the Motherland" theme flowerbed will be unveiled
In the center of Tiananmen Square, a flowerbed with the theme of "Blessing the Motherland" will be arranged. The flowerbed has a ceiling height of 18 meters and is decorated with festive flower and fruit baskets as the main scenery. The flower baskets are of steel frame structure, and the basket body is made of glass fiber reinforced plastics, which can resist 10 winds.
The words "Bless the Motherland, 1949-2020" are written on the south side of the basket, and the words "One Heart, 1949-2020" are written on the north side of the basket.
The basket contains representative flowers from all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as fruits with auspicious meaning. The artificial flowers and fruits have a diameter of 1.5-3 meters, reflecting the fruitfulness and blossoming of a hundred flowers.
The bottom of the flowerbed features 10 red hearts made up of flowers. Together with the flower and fruit basket, it means that the people of all ethnic groups in the country are closely united around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, and are united in one mind to overcome difficulties and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. New varieties and new technologies help flower bed layout
