Vox aims to be the political protagonist of the month of September.

The party led by Santiago Abascal has designed an action plan with the aim of progressively giving importance to training during this start of the political year, which will have as its icing on the motion of censure that is expected to be raised at the end of the month.

The first stop on this path towards the motion occurred this Monday with the presentation of the Solidaridad union.

It is Vox's bet to contest for the workers' vote, one of Abascal's own obsessions for months, against "corrupt and extremist unions," as he acknowledged during the presentation in an industrial warehouse in the Madrid town of Coslada.

With more than 5,700 applications for membership as of this Monday, Solidaridad is posed as Vox's trump card to defend workers in a traditionally left-wing scenario in our country such as the union world.

Abascal drew a line before these and praised the values of Solidaridad: a group "patriot and anti-separatist, anti-communist and against corrupt oligarchies."

As EL MUNDO advanced weeks ago, it is a general type of union which, according to Abascal, has not been founded by Vox, but is only "supported" by training against the "mafias" that "have only served the interests of parties and oligarchies ".

The party president described the project as "ambitious" and at a "difficult" moment, since the defense of the workers until now was only in the hands of "class unions."

The truth is that Vox hopes that the job uncertainty that is forecast for this fall will give more relevance and weight to the union role.

According to

Pedro Moreno

, a member of the management committee of the platform, Solidaridad arrives with the intention of reaching out "to that generation that today lives worse than their parents", whom "the left deceived and the right forgot."

At different times, there was an impact on how the Popular Party has put itself "in profile" or "with its back" to the workers, especially after the labor reform carried out by the Government of Mariano Rajoy in 2012.

The idea of approaching the workers' vote through a group like Solidaridad has been adopted by Vox after seeing how it has had an effect in other countries.

Marine Le Pen in France or Donald Trump in the United States have gained greater support from the working and popular classes after penetrating the unions.

Likewise, this Monday the Secretary General of the Unione Generale del Lavoro,

Francesco Paolo Capone

, was present at the Solidarity presentation

.

The leader of one of the four great Italian unions personally showed his support for the newly created group, which he encouraged to work together to gain the support of the workers.

Protectionist court

As expected, Solidaridad is a protectionist union in which those focused on illegal immigration stand out among its proposals.

In the roadmap presented yesterday by the group's general secretary,

Rodrigo Alonso

, it is urged "to limit immigration to the real needs of the labor market and the immigrant's capacity for cultural adaptation."

It is also proposed to "facilitate the repatriation of immigrants who cannot find employment" or the commitment to the return of those Spanish workers who had to emigrate given the "precariousness of the labor market".

In addition, one of the principles of Solidarity will be, as he explained, to promote the repeal of trade agreements with those countries that do not respect the rights and working conditions of workers.

Along the same lines, the large multinationals will be required to "not reduce the payment of taxes in Spain" through mechanisms and "tax engineering tricks."

Alonso, who will develop his position as secretary general at the same time as he occupies his seat as deputy for Vox in the Andalusian Parliament, also announced that Solidaridad intends to demand an increase in the minimum interprofessional salary and get the Government to take charge of job salaries that due to confinement situations cannot be developed from home.

Also "outlaw linguistic racism" at the labor level between autonomous communities, "end" with public subsidies to unions and minimize union freedom.

It is precisely in other groups that the birth of Solidaridad has not taken hold.

Pepe Álvarez

, general secretary of UGT, wished "all the worst in the world" to the new union promoted by Vox.

"They wish the worst to all workers," answered Abascal during the presentation ceremony.

"We will not always agree," concluded the president of Vox while addressing the representatives of the new union, "but we wish you luck while you are at the service of the Spanish and Spanish workers."
