He explained that Law No. 5 of 2020 regarding the seizure of vehicles in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi introduced the seizure penalty for six offenses for which it was not previously applied, and the seizure is only released after paying the fine prescribed for it, which hits a police patrol or causes damage to it, resulting in a fine of 50 One thousand dirhams, and the violator is charged the value of the damage caused to the police patrol, and the second is a race on the road, and it is not released until after paying 50 thousand dirhams.

He added that the third offense is driving a vehicle with artificial, forged or obscured number plates, or has been changed or used in a manner inconsistent with the legislation in force, with the driver’s knowledge of that, resulting in 50,000 dirhams, and the fourth causing an accident due to excessive speed, sudden deviation or Not leaving a sufficient safety distance, or not giving priority to pedestrians, and they are not released unless after paying 50 thousand dirhams, and the fifth is allowing children under the age of 10 years to sit in the front seats, and they pay 5000 dirhams to break the reservation, and the sixth if the group of violations exceeds Traffic on the vehicle, an amount of 7000 dirhams, requires the vehicle to be seized, and the reservation is only released after paying all the fines imposed on the vehicle.

He added that there are four violations for which a seizure was applied in the past, but the law added to them fees for the release of the reservation, after it has spent the period of confinement stipulated in the Federal Traffic and Traffic Law, and the owner of the car can only receive it after paying the fees for dismantling the reservation according to the new vehicle reservation law, which is Driving a vehicle that poses a threat to the driver's life or the lives of others, and it entails 50 thousand dirhams to break the reservation, bypass the red light, on which 50 thousand dirhams to break the reservation, and to withdraw the driver's license for six months starting from the date of revoking the license, and making changes to the vehicle's engine.
