The National Assembly started examining the 4th supplementary budget (additional) bill submitted by the government to support Corona 19 damage today (14th).

The National Assembly is scheduled to hold six additional standing committees this week, starting with the Public Administration and Safety Committee today.

The ruling and opposition parties agree with the necessity and urgency of this supplementary administration, but disagree at the time of processing.

In addition, the Democratic Party is in a position that in order for support for those affected by Corona 19 to come before the Chuseok holiday (September 30-October 2), an additional draft must be passed at the plenary session on the 18th.

Rep. Park Hong-geun, a secretary of the Democratic Party of the National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounting, said, "Even if the National Assembly handles the supplementary bill, it will take at least six days, such as the State Council, for the project to be executed.

The power of the people is struggling with the policy of the ruling party.

It is also important to expedite processing, but this is because it is an additional budget of KRW 7.8 trillion that is prepared by issuing government bonds, so it is necessary to undergo detailed examination.

Rep. Choo Gyeong-ho, a secretary for the power of the people of the Preliminary Committee, said, "We cannot close our eyes and examine the debts for supplementation. We will discuss as much as possible so that it can be completed before Chuseok, and whether or not to pay before Chuseok depends on the attitude of the ruling party." .

As reflecting the differences of opinions of the opposition parties, the preliminary committee has not yet set a schedule for review of the 4th supplementary bill.

There is also a tug-of-war between the opposition parties over the details of the supplementary bill, including the payment of 20,000 won for the national communication fee.

The Democratic Party has announced that it will not revise the supplementary bill despite the controversy over supporting communications expenses.

A key member of the Democratic Party said, "As the discussion begins today, it is difficult to change the policy before that," and "We will have to discuss in depth at the National Assembly."

On the other hand, the people's strength is calling for a revision, saying that the support for communication costs is a patronage budget.

"It is not time to manage approval ratings by sprinkling communication expenses of 20,000 won," said Kim Jong-in, chairman of the emergency countermeasures at the non-commissioned committee meeting. I can't help but ask if I want to have it.”
