This is reported by TASS with reference to the French lawyer Vinnik Frederic Belo.

“The court did not grant our request, citing the fact that Vinnik might not return to prison,” Belo said.

He said that until October 19, when the main hearings begin, Vinnik "must remain in prison."

In August, the Paris Court of Cassation dismissed a complaint by Vinnik's defense against his detention in France on the basis of a European arrest warrant issued by Paris.

Alexander Vinnik was arrested in Greece in 2017 at the request of the United States, where he is accused of creating a cryptocurrency exchange without a license from the American authorities, through which, according to Washington, billions of dollars were laundered.
