Peskov said that during the talks in Sochi, Putin and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko “separately focused on the participation of Belarus in the third stage of testing the Russian Sputnik V vaccine.

“Putin was given appropriate instructions on the preparation of the first batch of supplies, which will be destined for Belarus,” Peskov said.

Earlier, during a meeting with Lukashenko, Putin confirmed that Belarus would be the first country to receive the Russian vaccine against COVID-19.

Also, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko reported that Belarus has joined the final stage of clinical trials of a Russian vaccine against coronavirus.
