This Monday, the prefect of Gironde Fabienne Buccio announced new measures to try to stem the circulation of the Covid-19 while the number of cases continues to increase in the department.

Among the main measures, the lowering of the gauge from 5,000 to 1,000 for the organization of meetings on public roads and the cancellation of several events including Heritage Days.

Targeted nightlife

The Prefect targets bars and restaurants in particular by prohibiting standing consumption and the possibility for establishments to broadcast music outside.

The idea is to keep customers inside where the Prefect relies on the managers to enforce the rules, rather than letting the party go on outside, without supervision.
