The state of health of Alexeï Navalny, poisoned in Novichok, continues to "improve", announced on Monday the Berlin Charité hospital, specifying that the Russian opponent could now "temporarily leave his bed".

"The state of health of Alexei Navalny, who has been treated at Charité since August 22, 2020, has further improved," the Berlin hospital announced in a statement.

"He is more and more reactive and can already temporarily leave his hospital bed," said the hospital.

Russia continues to declare itself innocent

"The patient could be completely weaned from artificial ventilation," added this state-of-the-art establishment, which, unlike previous press releases, does not mention any sequelae from which the Russian opponent could suffer in the long term.

French and Swedish laboratories confirmed on Monday that Alexeï Navalny, 44, had indeed been poisoned using a Novichok-type nerve agent, created by the Soviets in the 1970s. Russia denies any involvement and requests evidence that the opponent has been poisoned.
