In Côte d'Ivoire, the Constitutional Council validated this Monday, September 14, the candidacy of outgoing President Alassane Ouattara for a new term.

Those of Guillaume Soro and Laurent Gbagbo, however, were declared inadmissible.

Judging that the 2016 Constitution resets the counters to zero, the Constitutional Council validated the candidacy of outgoing President Alassane Ouattara for a third term.

The candidacies of Henri Konan Bédie, Pascal Affi N'Guessan and Kouadio Konan Bertin are also validated.
