According to testimonies from the police themselves, a man was about to walk past the car when he suddenly turned left and fired his weapon with several shots at close range at both police officers.
Called for help
They were seriously injured but could call for help via radio.
They are now fighting for their lives in hospitals.
The police were a 31-year-old woman with a six-year-old son and a 24-year-old man and both are new police officers.
