During the early hours of this Sunday, a group of people who gathered in the Plaza de los Fueros de Alsasua, many of them without wearing a mask, have thrown objects at the police vehicles that traveled to the place, causing damage to a car of the civil Guard.

Likewise, three containers were burned in neighboring streets.

As reported by the Civil Guard, around 01.00 in the morning they received a request for support from the Municipal Police of Alsasua since a group of about 70 people had thrown bottles and objects at them from the alley of the Plaza de los Fueros de Alsasua .

Patrols of the Provincial Police and the Civil Guard traveled to the place to provide support, accessing several vehicles to this square in which a greater volume of people were found, around 300 people, who when observing the police vehicles began to throw objects.

The coordinated action between the three police forces managed to clear the square minutes later, dispersing the people present there in small groups, but not stopping the throwing of glasses, bottles, chairs and overturning of tables on terraces and containers.

As a result of these events, a Civil Guard vehicle has been damaged.

As reported by this police force, a "very high" number of people present in the place were not respecting the security measures established on the occasion of the health alert by not wearing a mask.

During the rest of the night the perimeter of the town was controlled, having knowledge of the burning of three containers between Aralar Street and Urbasa Street.

Efforts have already been started to identify the people allegedly taking part in the events.

The event occurs after yesterday, Saturday, also at dawn, a joint device formed by the Civil Guard, Foral Police and Local Police of Alsasua prevented the celebration of a macro bottle in the place known as Santa Lucía in this town.

The people present fled upon the arrival of the agents and during the performance a generator set, high-powered speakers, a removable tent and numerous drinks were seized for consumption.
