Restarting Al-Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah with a 50% card

The local emergency, crisis and disaster management team in Sharjah, in coordination with the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, approved the restart of the Jubail Bus Station, and the operation of intercity transportation lines, starting on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, after providing all precautionary and preventive measures for the safety of passengers.

This came during the visit of the Executive Committee for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management to Jubail Bus Station, headed by the Director General of Central Operations of Sharjah Police, Brigadier Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Naour.

The committee approved a set of preventive measures to restart the passenger transportation services of inter-city transport lines, which connect the Emirate of Sharjah with the other Emirates, which are represented in reducing the capacity to 50%, allocating entrances for thermal examination, sterilizing buses after each trip, and determining seating places;

By placing instructional stickers in order to apply physical distancing between passengers, with mandatory wearing of the muzzle before boarding the bus, and a commitment to wear it throughout the journey, in addition to providing hand sanitiser devices on all buses, and this included measures applied to all employees and drivers, to achieve comprehensive health security.

The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority affirmed the implementation of all health and preventive measures represented in cleaning and intensive sterilization of the bus fleet and the Jubail station according to the highest international standards, and that is on a daily basis to preserve the health and safety of bus users.
