Berri objects to Mustafa Adib's way of forming the Lebanese government

The office of the Lebanese Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, announced that his party rejects the method followed by the Prime Minister-designate, Mustafa Adib, in forming a new government, and said that he will not join the cabinet on the basis of that, but he will cooperate in all that is necessary for the stability of his country in crisis.

Berri's office, who leads the Shiite "Amal" movement allied with "Hezbollah," stated in a statement yesterday, criticism of Mustafa Adeeb's way of forming the government, including the lack of negotiation.

Berri's office said, in the statement, that the problem is neither with the French nor an internal problem.

He added, "Therefore, we have informed the Prime Minister-designate, on our own, of our unwillingness to participate in the government on these foundations, and we informed him of our readiness to cooperate to the maximum extent in all that is necessary for Lebanon's stability and finances."
