The Ministry stated that since the beginning of the activation of the decision of the "noon work ban" which entered its 16th year, on the 15th of last June, it has developed an integrated plan within two tracks. The first aims to tighten control over work sites and control violations, by deploying teams and operators of the assessment service. According to the ministry, the second track relied on guidance and counseling, by raising the awareness of employers, workers and society in general of the importance of adhering to the decision to ban work at noon time, and its great role in preserving the health and safety of workers, through the implementation of directive visits to work sites in different regions of the country, and the establishment of workshops And the lectures that witnessed presentations and video clips on how to implement the decision and its importance, and the distribution of thousands of awareness booklets and "brochures" in several languages, including Arabic, English and Urdu, in parallel with the implementation of awareness initiatives in cooperation with the Ministry's partners.

The ministry said: “The work teams will continue their inspection and guidance efforts within the framework of the campaign (Together We Overcome the Challenge), which was launched to educate employers and workers in the private sector about the package of decisions and initiatives that are implemented in cooperation with their partners, as part of the national program to support the stability of the labor market in the private sector. , In light of the precautionary measures to limit the spread of the new Corona virus, as well as awareness of a number of initiatives and procedures applied by the ministry, with the aim of strengthening the stability of the work relationship between the two parties, and ensuring their rights and duties.

According to the ministry, the “Together We Overcome the Challenge” campaign includes awareness of the gradual measures that private sector establishments affected by the repercussions of the emerging corona virus can take, on condition that they agree with their non-citizen workers, which is to grant them paid leave, then leave without pay, then reduce the wage, Temporarily during the period of precautionary measures, provided that an additional attachment to the work contract is concluded according to a form prepared by the Ministry for this purpose, provided that the work in this annex ends with the expiration of its period or the expiration of the period of validity of the precautionary measures, whichever is earlier, and finally, the worker’s wage is permanently reduced, on the condition of applying for an amendment service Work contract data to obtain approval from the ministry.

The campaign also included the introduction of the "early leave" initiative, launched by the ministry, with the aim of enabling those who wish to work in the private sector to return to their countries during the period of precautionary measures taken at the state level to prevent and limit the spread of the new Corona virus.
