12 September 2020The 14th stage of the Tour de France goes to the Danish Soren Kragh Andersen ahead of the Slovenian Luka Mezgek and Simone Consonni.



Very busy fraction, with the Cote du chateau d'Aulteribe (fourth category, 1 km at 8.4%), then the Col du Bèal (second category, 10.2 km at 5.6%) and the Cote de Courreau (third category, 4 km at 5.7%).

There are also pitfalls in the end.

In the last 10 km, two other Gpm: the Cote de la Duchère (fourth category, 1.4 km at 5.6%) and the Cote de la Croix-Rousse to make a selection.



It is the Belgian Edward Theuns and the Swiss Stefan Küng who are on the run.

At 134 km from the finish, the advantage of the two men on the run is 5'43 "compared to their pursuers. The yellow jersey group is pulled by the Bora - Hansgrohe that comes back on the two on the run. Theuns is the first to be caught, at 80 km from the finish it is Kueng's turn. 60 km from the finish the yellow jersey group has 6'42 "advantage over the group that includes the green jersey Sam Bennett and Thibaut Pinot who give up the pursuit.



The group of the Irishman in the green jersey and the Frenchman of the team is lagging behind the yellow jersey group, even more detached from the group that includes Caleb Ewan.

The yellow jersey platoon travels at a high pace waiting for the last final climbs.  


With 21 km from the finish, Greg Van Avermaet's CCC and Peter Sagan's Bora - Hansgrohe set the pace up front to avoid attacks.

The Jumbo-Visma takes the lead of the group to protect Roglic and takes the lead of the group to shoot when there are 16 km to the finish.

10 km from the finish, Benoot tries but the attempt is unsuccessful, an attempt also by Kamna before the last ascent of the Cote de la Croix-Rousse but closely marked by Alaphilippe, Sagan, Hirschi and Van Avermaet.

The surprise, however, comes from the Danish Kragh Andersen who makes fun of everyone and arrives alone.
