The “Mashaghail” project for people of determination, launched by the Ministry of Community Development, has reached the short-list stage within the global “Zero Project” award, after intense competition for the best projects that provide practical solutions and make an impact on the lives of people of determination. The project is subject to an evaluation of about 4000 Experts around the world, from 150 countries, are used to evaluate the most effective projects and have an impact on the lives of people of determination, and to choose the most effective ones, whether at the level of policies or practices, that would improve the quality of life of people of determination, and spread the best effective practices.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Social Welfare Affairs, Nasser Ismail, confirmed that the idea of the “Mashaghel” project translates the Ministry of Community Development’s directive to focus on employing people of determination, those with intellectual disabilities over the age of 18.
He said: “The Mashaghel project was able to train 93 male and female students of determination in various workshops and workshops distributed to centers for people of determination in the various emirates of the country, as well as employ three employees of people of determination after the training period, by helping them establish their small projects and supporting them.
