According to our sources, the discussions which will take place until Sunday, September 13 are taking place in a "
positive atmosphere
" and aim to restore the relationship with Egypt, great support of Marshal Khalifa Haftar.
“
This rapprochement with Egypt is now taking place because the data on the ground have changed,”
explains Saad Benshrada, member of the delegation and head of the State High Council in Libya, at the microphone of
Houda Ibrahim,
of the Africa service of RFI.
The Libyans as well as the international community have realized that neither side in the struggle can dominate the other by force.
We only have dialogue as a way out in Libya.
"
Saad Benshrada thus hopes that "
Egypt, in view of its relations with Marshal Khalifa Haftar and Aguila Saleh [president of the Libyan parliament, Editor's note] can exert pressure on them in order to consolidate the ceasefire, resume production oil and accept the results of any discussions between Libyans in the future
”.

"
We know that Egypt is a central country for Libya and that there will not be a solution for our country without Cairo,"
continues the official.
We told them our reproaches but they were reproaches between brothers.
Our discussions are cordial.
We all want to turn the page of the past and think about the future.
We wanted Egypt to keep contacts with West Libya and with Libyans all over the country.
We know very well that Egypt is a big, strong and powerful player in the Middle East.
