The American film festival in Deauville (North West) on Saturday awarded several prizes "The Nest" by Sean Durkin, an "oppressive thriller" which tells "the disintegration of a family", announced the president of the main jury, French actress Vanessa Paradis.

The film received both the Grand Jury Prize, the Revelation Jury Prize, tied with "The Assistant" (Kitty Green's first film, on harassment at work), and the Critics' Prize.

The jury prize chaired by Vanessa Paradis goes to "First Cow" by Kelly Reichardt, a figure of independent American cinema and "Lorelei", the first film by Sabrina Doyle.

Fifteen films were in competition, eight of which were signed by women.
