During July and August, a large number of sheep were killed in wolf attacks in Jönköping County and protection hunting began.

However, no wolf was found and the attacks ceased.

Last week, sheep owners in Kronoberg County were exposed and now sheep have been demolished in northern Skåne.

Analyzes of DNA from the wolf in Skåne show that it is the same wolf that was on the move in Jönköping County and earlier in the year in Västra Götaland and Örebro.

According to the County Administrative Board in Skåne, the wolf is a young female wolf, born in Gävleborg County, in the Tönsen area.

The wolf is a second generation offspring from an immigrant wolf, and is not classified as genetically valuable.

The County Administrative Board of Skåne has now decided on protection hunting of the wolf.

For the inspector Bo Adolfsson, there was no doubt that it was a wolf that attacked.
