"The Prosecutor General's Office of Berlin received a request from the legal department of the Berlin Senate to provide legal assistance at Russia's request for legal assistance and to obtain information in this regard about the state of health of Alexei Navalny with his consent," reads a message on Twitter.

They noted that other information on this issue is not yet available.

On September 4, the German Ministry of Justice reported that a request from Russia in the Navalny case had been forwarded to the Berlin prosecutor's office. 

On September 11, the Kremlin admitted that new requests from Russian law enforcement agencies regarding the situation around Navalny could be sent to Germany.
