The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is preparing an additional request from Germany with a request to allow the participation of Russian investigators in investigative actions in Germany on the situation with Navalny.

“In connection with the publication in the media of reports about the exit of A.A.

Navalny from the coma investigative unit in accordance with the current European Convention on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters, as well as in accordance with Art.

453 and 454 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Russia is preparing an additional request for legal assistance to the competent authorities of the Federal Republic of Germany, ”- says the message of the transport department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Siberian Federal District.

Including Germany, a petition will be sent on the possibility of the presence of investigators of the internal affairs bodies of Russia and a Russian expert during the conduct of investigative actions by the German side with Navalny, doctors and experts, which will allow asking clarifying and additional questions.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs also added that one of the six people who accompanied Navalny on the trip avoided communicating with the police.

“At the same time, Marina Pevchikh, one of those who were with Navalny, permanently residing in Great Britain, on August 20, avoided giving explanations,” the department said.

According to the investigation, on August 22, she flew to Germany.

Its location is being established.

Earlier, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, announced the contradictions in the situation with Alexei Navalny.

He pointed out that Germany requires an investigation of the incident with the blogger, but there are no grounds for this procedure.

In addition, Nebenzya noted that the German side did not demonstrate readiness to cooperate with Russia in this matter.

"At the moment, we have not received anything (a response to the request of the Russian side to Germany. -

), which would allow our relevant authorities to conduct their de jure investigation, nevertheless they began a de facto investigation, which is called the preliminary investigation procedures." Nebenzya said at a meeting of the UN Security Council on the elimination of Syrian chemical weapons.

Nebenzya called a paradoxical situation when Russia is required to conduct an investigation, but refuses to cooperate with Russian law enforcement agencies and doctors.

“A group of renowned Russian doctors invited their German colleagues to discuss together the available data on the health of Alexei Navalny.

But again this was rejected ... We see a paradoxical situation ... how can we move forward if the German side refuses to cooperate? "

- said Russia's permanent representative to the UN.

Nebenzya also assured that Moscow is most interested in clarifying the circumstances of what happened to Navalny, and called on the FRG to provide the available data to start an investigation into the incident.

“We are the party most interested in finding out what happened ... But we have not received any evidence from Germany that would allow us to conclude that it was a crime, an attempted poisoning, and thus begin investigation, ”he said.

Nebenzya noted that "even a first-year law student knows that any investigation must be preceded by evidence and facts."

He also recalled that Omsk doctors, unlike the German laboratory, did not find any chemical substances in the results of Navalny's analyzes.

The Permanent Representative emphasized that Russia's request for Germany to provide the results of Navalny's analyzes is absolutely legitimate in the circumstances and must be satisfied in accordance with the agreements between the two countries.

“A few days ago we were told that since the samples were examined at the Bundeswehr Institute, they would not share any information with us, as it could allow Russia to find out how much the Bundeswehr knows about chemicals.

Then we heard that the results were classified.

How should we interpret this? "

- asked Nebenzya.

Recall that on August 20, the plane with Alexei Navalny on board made an emergency landing at the Omsk airport due to a sharp deterioration in the blogger's health.

He was urgently taken to a local hospital, he was unconscious.

Relatives insisted on the transfer of Navalny to the German clinic "Charite".

When the doctors of the Omsk hospital found the patient's condition stable, he was transported to Germany.

Subsequently, the official representative of the German government, Steffen Seibert, said that Alexei Navalny was allegedly poisoned with a nerve agent from the Novichok group.

The toxicological study was carried out by a special laboratory of the German Armed Forces.

After the statements of the German side, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov recalled that before being transported to Berlin, Navalny underwent a set of analyzes in accordance with international standards.

“Before the patient was taken to Berlin, in accordance with all international standards, a whole complex of tests was carried out in our country - no toxic substances were detected,” said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President.
