It was on May 6 that the police and ambulance were alerted to a home in Ulricehamn.

There they found a severely stabbed man in his upper 50s.

Shortly afterwards, two men were arrested, one suspected of having committed the act, the other suspected of having protected the suspected killer.

The two men are now being prosecuted.

- The motive has been jealousy, says chamber prosecutor Carolyn Westeröd in a press release.

The suspected killer must therefore have come home to his home and there found his partner in the company of the now dead.

In anger, he allegedly attacked him with a knife.

The injuries became so serious that the man died later in the evening.

The suspect has been in custody since then and now he is being prosecuted in addition to the stabbing for an assault by another person, that assault must also have taken place in the man's home but on another occasion.

At the same time, another man is being prosecuted, he is suspected of grossly protecting a criminal.

In connection with the knife attack, he is said to have helped the suspect to hide and also to get rid of evidence.

The murder suspect's lawyer, Carl Gustaf Nyman, announces that his client considers himself innocent.

What do you say about the prosecutor's claim that there is a jealousy motive here?

-

No comment on that, he says.
