On the fact of the state of emergency in Norilsk, a lawsuit was filed against NTEK for 147.7 billion rubles

TASS informs about this with reference to the press service of Rosprirodnadzor.

The report says that the Yenisei Interregional Directorate of Rosprirodnadzor has filed a claim with the Arbitration Court of the Krasnoyarsk Territory for compensation for damage caused to the environment as a result of violations of the mandatory requirements of environmental legislation by NTEC.

"The claims amount to 147,784,627,500 rubles," the department said.

On May 29, a diesel fuel spill occurred at CHPP-3, owned by Norilsk Nickel. 

In July, Rosprirodnadzor announced that the environmental damage caused by the fuel spill in Norilsk was estimated at almost 148 billion rubles.

Requests for voluntary compensation for damage were sent to NTEK.
