Today at 3 pm, Nyamko Sabuni (L) and Annie Lööf (C) will hold a press conference on a couple of the proposals they have received in the negotiations with the government on the autumn budget.

This involves reduced income taxes totaling just over SEK 13 billion.

One of the tax cuts presented the Center Party's acting party leader Anders W Jonsson as one of the Center Party's budget priorities already in June.

Includes pensioners

This is a tax reduction on earned income which is estimated to mean up to SEK 2,000 less in tax per year and mainly benefit low- and middle-income earners.

And unlike the six employment tax deductions introduced so far, the tax reduction would also cover pensioners and those who receive benefits from the social security systems.

Exactly how much more it will be in the wallet is still unclear, but according to information to SVT, it is about a tax cut of just over 8 billion next year.

This roughly corresponds to the initial deduction that the Center Party got through in the 73-point program but which was stopped by the opposition at the beginning of the year.

The Liberals, for their part, have pushed for a variant of the old employment tax deduction where the idea is to increase the driving forces to go from benefits to jobs.

When Nyamko Sabuni (L) and the economic policy spokesperson Mats Persson (L) presented their budget demands a few weeks ago, they talked about a tax cut of SEK 500 a month for those with low incomes, which would reduce tax revenues by SEK 10 billion.

But it will not be that much, it is more about half.

And according to SVT's information, the pensioners, like previous employment tax deductions, will not be covered.

The tax cut, like several other measures in the forthcoming budget, is temporary and expires at the end of 2022.

Reduced tax by 30 billion

Another proposal that has already been submitted by the government is a high point for state income tax, but neither party has prioritized it in this budget debate, so that proposal will not be presented in the budget.

In addition to the tax cuts presented today, the January parties also agree to reduce corporate taxation.

And it is already known that the tax for pensioners will be reduced next year.

According to SVT's experience, the forthcoming budget includes tax cuts of around SEK 30 billion, including the cuts that follow from the green tax change.
