The RAID intervened this Thursday around 12:45 in the district of Blosne, in Rennes, in order to take charge of a man with threatening behavior.

At the window of the 12th floor of a building on rue de Volga, the 46-year-old man repeatedly threatened to throw himself into the void.

It was residents who alerted the police, seeing the man showing off several knives.

Threatening the neighbors, he threw one of his blades into the void, luckily without causing any injuries.

Recognizing the individual, the police preferred to call in their elite unit.

According to a police source, the man lived in a friend's apartment.

Followed for psychiatric disorders, he stepped over the railing several times.

The RAID was able to challenge him without difficulty around 2 p.m.

Supported by the firefighters, he was taken to the CHU Pontchaillou for treatment.

He could be transferred to the specialized hospital Guillaume Régnier.
