In France, at the height of the health crisis, more than a quarter of workers performed all of their tasks remotely against 3% in 2017, according to Medef.

The employers this week submitted to all the social partners a document drawing up a project for a “shared diagnosis” on teleworking.

During the meeting on Friday, the unions hope to convince the employers to go further.

The twelve-page document received less than 48 hours before the meeting does not fully satisfy Béatrice Clicq, Confederal Secretary of Force Ouvrière (FO).

“

Very little commitment and a document that is still very much aimed at companies from our point of view.

So for us, it will effectively be a question of re-establishing a balance.

 "

The unions want the negotiation of a national interprofessional agreement.

On the contrary, Éric Chevée, vice-president of the Confederation of small and medium-sized enterprises (CPME), does not see the point.

We don't see so many points on which the law should be amended.

"

Texts from 2005, 2012 and 2017 already provide a framework for this practice.

A superposition which in the eyes of Béatrice Clicq created a blur.

FO intends to insist on several conditions.

“

We are also very attached to the fact that the notion of volunteering is well preserved and that we pay close attention to the fact that the social bond is preserved.

FO is opposed to 100% teleworking except in exceptional cases.

On this point, the discussion seems rather accepted on the employers' side.

The point on which we should agree is the issue of the exceptional period.

There, indeed, perhaps, it would be advantageous to put a frame.

 "

Nevertheless, Eric Chevée wants teleworking agreements to remain generally discussed at company level.
