The Dubai Health Authority has identified eight categories that are excluded from paying fees for laboratory tests for the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19), in its hospitals and clinics.

According to a circular issued by the Director General of the Authority, Hamid Muhammad Al-Qatami, regarding the approval of the prices of laboratory tests for the virus, citizens of the state, children of female citizens of the state, residents over the age of 50, people of determination, pregnant women, those with chronic diseases, and auxiliary service workers working for citizens of the state are excluded Of those who pay the fees for virus tests one time every four months.

The decision stipulated that people in contact with who were confirmed to be infected with the virus would be exempt from paying the prices of laboratory tests.

The authority approved the prices of laboratory tests for the virus in the hospitals and clinics of the authority, ranging between 370 and 1200 dirhams, depending on the type of examination.
