The military spokesman for the Houthis, Yahya Saree, said that they attacked sensitive military targets at Abha International Airport in southern Saudi Arabia with a number of drones, in response to the continuing "aggression" against Yemen.

The spokesman added that the Al Houthi air force re-targeted Abha International Airport at dawn today, with a number of "Qasef 2" drones, targeting military and sensitive targets inside the airport, and the hit was accurate.

He said that the targeting came in response to the escalation of "the aggression, its crimes and the ongoing siege on our country."

On the other hand, a spokesman for the Saudi-Emirati coalition forces said that an explosive drone launched by the Houthis towards the southern region of Saudi Arabia had been intercepted and destroyed.

The spokesman for the coalition forces, Colonel Turki Al-Maliki, stated that the joint coalition forces "managed to intercept and destroy a drone (booby trapped) launched by the terrorist Houthi militia in a systematic and deliberate manner to target civilian objects and civilians in the southern region."

The Houthis had targeted the airport itself at dawn yesterday with "Samad 3" drones, in response to "the ongoing aggression and siege on the Yemeni people."
