“It is quite, I think, a normal proposal - to introduce some additional accounting system.

At one time, we proposed to simply take and extend the labeling requirements to beer, the same as today apply to wine.

Now even large brewers themselves have begun to admit that things are not so good on the beer market, and there are a lot of counterfeit and illegal products.

According to our estimates, up to half of the products are in the shadow turnover, ”the expert explained.

Shapkin also noted that there is such a category as beer drinks.

“This is a separate topic altogether.

According to the expert, this area needs stricter regulation.

Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to introduce beer labeling.

According to the head of the department Denis Manturov, this is "important, since this area is especially susceptible to counterfeiting and falsification."
