According to the minister, Serbia is under "terrible and undeserved pressure" from the European Union.

“They demand from us at the cost of giving up our European future and at the cost of even greater pressure on our policy, as well as on our people in Kosovo and Metohija and the Republika Srpska, to abandon the planned military exercises with Belarus,” the press service of the Serbian Defense Ministry quoted him as saying ...

Wulin added that such pressure "makes no sense and is not based on our decisions or our actions", but is "the result of hysteria that determines the political decisions and directions of large and powerful countries."

For this reason, the Serbian authorities decided to "maintain a position of military neutrality" and abandon all military exercises, including with "NATO, the CSTO, Russia, the United States, China, the European Union, East or West."

Earlier, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the United States and its allies are considering the possibility of introducing additional targeted sanctions against Belarus.
