The Department of Health in Abu Dhabi has allocated rewards for volunteering in the third phase of the inactive "Covid-19" vaccine.

The department continues to follow up the status of volunteers in the UAE, in accordance with the approved protocols, through direct contacts and interviews with the medical team.

The head of the Coronavirus Clinical Committee, Dr. Nawal Al-Kaabi, confirmed the safety of all the volunteers participating in the experiment, which numbered 31 thousand volunteers, belonging to 120 nationalities, and that no dangerous side effects were recorded that require the immediate intervention of the medical team supervising the volunteers participating in the experiment.

Thousands of volunteers received their second dose of the vaccine, and they will continue to undergo medical examinations and regular supervision, in addition to receiving full support from health services in order to ensure that they enjoy health and wellness.

The "For Humanity" campaign, for the first trials of the third phase of the inactive "Covid-19" vaccine in the UAE, indicated that a modest reward was allocated to the volunteers participating in the scientific study aimed at fighting the "Covid-19" pandemic through the volunteers honoring program, in appreciation of their active participation. In the experiment, where each participant will receive vouchers worth 1000 dirhams, along with other in-kind gifts, throughout the period of participation in the program.

The Department of Health confirmed the follow-up of the volunteers' condition according to the approved protocols for the study, as both the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center and the Al-Qurain Health Center in Sharjah continue their work to follow up on the volunteers in the campaign, stressing that the third phase comes after the success of the first and second phases, which were conducted by the company «Sinopharma CNB. In China, they resulted in 100% of volunteers generating antibodies after receiving two doses of the vaccine within 28 days.

The organizers of the "For Humanity" campaign indicated the possibility of common reactions for volunteers upon receiving the vaccine, including moderate pain, redness, stiffness and itching at the site of vaccination, fever, headache, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, allergies, muscle pain, and joint pain. Lethargy, convulsive seizures, etc.

Symptoms are usually mild and go away on their own, while patients with moderate to severe symptoms will be treated under the supervision of a specialist attending physician.
