A 20-year-old young man was indicted on Tuesday.
He is suspected of having unwittingly strangled a 35-year-old neighbor in Roubaix, in the North, according to a judicial source.
Sunday morning, around 6 am, police officers intervened for "a brawl that arose during a neighborhood dispute originating from a nighttime noise," the Lille prosecutor told AFP.
A 35-year-old man was "found unconscious inside the home of his neighbors."
Asphyxiation linked to a choke key
“Despite the intervention of the emergency services, he could not be revived.
The death would be consecutive to asphyxiation linked to a strangulation key, ”according to the same source.
A 20-year-old young man was arrested and indicted for willful violence resulting in death without intention of giving it.
He was also placed under strict judicial control, including a ban on appearing in the Nord department.
