At exactly 09.00, Prime Minister Stefan Löfven steps up to the Riksdag's rostrum for the debate's first speech.

Löfven is under heavy pressure, both from the right and the left, and is expected in the debate, among other things, to ask questions about how the government should tackle gang crime and how it has handled the corona pandemic.

Defense and changes in labor law, the so-called LAS rules, are also predicted to be hot topics in the debate.

- The issue where I think it will heat up the most is gang crime, says SVT's political reporter Elisabeth Marmorstein.

All party leaders participate in the debate, with the exception of the Liberal party leader Nyamko Sabuni, who lacks a seat in the Riksdag.

The Liberals are instead represented by Johan Pehrson.

Isabella Lövin participates from the Green Party, which has two mouthpieces.

Today's party leader debate is also the left leader Jonas Sjöstedt's last when he resigns as from his post at the end of October.
