Last week, the Olympique Lyonnais footballers won their seventh Champions League.

This film, directed by Stéphanie Gillard and produced by Julie Gayet, follows them for a year from changing rooms to the field, from training to travel.

Which football team, in 2018, can be proud of such a prestigious track record: five Champions

League

victories

, twelve French championships and seven French Cups?

The Olympique Lyonnais.

But more precisely, the women's team of OL.

Jean-Michel Aulas, precursor of women's football in France

The club director, Jean-Michel Aulas, has been a pioneer, putting the means to develop and support his team, recruiting the best players in the world.

Like the Norwegian striker Ada Hegerberg, who won

the first women's Golden Ball

two years ago

.

Documentary filmmaker Stéphanie Gillard followed the footballers for a year, taking her camera from locker rooms to pitches, from school visits to championship games.

From the English Lucy Bronze to the Japanese Saki Kumagai, including captain Amandine Henry, goalkeeper Sarah Bouhaddi and charismatic defender

Wendie Renard

, these players demonstrate humility, solidarity and stubbornness.

They do not demand equal pay with their male counterparts.

But at least respect, and recognition of their professionalism.

Without supporting the point, without a voiceover, the documentary shows that sexism dies hard, even if in ten years the women's team has considerably gained in visibility.
