09 September 2020Suspended religious services in some areas of the Cuneo area because all the religious have been infected by Sars-Cov2.

Two priests from Dronero (Cuneo) tested positive for coronavirus: Fr Michelangelo Priotto, 75, was informed the other day of his positivity after a brief hospitalization;

later it was the turn of the parish priest don Graziano Einaudi, 67 years old.

On the other hand, a third religious who lives with them in separate lodgings is negative: he is the parish priest of the nearby village of Roccabruna, at the entrance to the Maira valley.

The three priests are fine: the two positives are in quarantine, while the parish priest of Roccabruna, even if negative, will have to remain in fiduciary isolation for a week. And while the Cuneo ASL is reconstructing the contacts that the two priests have had in recent days, the diocese of Saluzzo in the meantime is looking for other priests for the celebrations of masses and anniversaries in the coming days in Dronero.
