  Hassanal said that the people of Brunei and China have historically been closely connected. Brunei cherishes the friendly relations between the two countries and regards China as an important partner of Brunei.

The Brunei side sincerely thanks the Chinese government and military for their support and assistance during the difficult times of the epidemic, and is willing to continue to carry out exchanges and cooperation in the fields of defense, economy and trade, energy, and humanities with China. It is hoped that the two defense departments will continue to promote group visits and joint training. And other pragmatic cooperation to promote the continuous development of the text-China strategic partnership.

  Wei Fenghe said that under the leadership of President Xi Jinping and His Majesty the Sultan, the relations between the two countries have maintained sound development, which has set a good example for mutual consultation, joint construction and sharing among countries with different social systems.

  In the morning of the same day, Wei Fenghe held formal talks with Harbi, the second minister of the Ministry of Culture and Defense. The two sides reached important consensus on maintaining strategic communication and deepening military exchanges and cooperation.
